What do we do?

The Regulatory Affairs Division is the responsible for promoting a transparent and efficient regulatory framework for International Trade that gives legal security and be applied in such a way that does not represent an undercover restriction to trade. It manages and coordinates at Interministerial level, negotiations, and implementation of the Chapters of Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS), and Good Regulatory Practices (GRP) on Trade Agreements in Chile. Moreover, it represents the interest of trade policy in Chile on Multilateral Forums related to International Trade.

At domestic level, it presides the TBT and SPS National Commissions, and it is responsible for the management and coordination of the solution of trade problems produced by non-tariff barriers.
